I had never quite realized how good the brass in England actually is. This was the album of the decade for me in 2010 and at the end of 2020, nothing had changed. Some close competitors but they all fall short in the end.

Alligator through HV really was an amazing trilogy of near-perfect records that all sounded and felt quite different and managed to surprise me in various ways. What a run.
