Literally everything about mr magpie slaps that song is single-handedly better than Radiohead’s entire pre kid a career, same goes for feral

magpie rules. only song i dont really like here is little by little, but chromatic choruses rarely work for me. its instrumental is still great

Codex is the weak link, and you know it’s true because it’s a piano ballad and therefore all the basics that hate this think it’s good

Codex is deff the worst song on here

I like the vocals on it a lot though

Should’ve had more bloops though musically

Codex and Give Up the Ghost are practically interchangeable in this tracklist, and this is one of my less favourite things about the album even though I like both

I actually like the guitar-work across the board here but I like the guitar on magpie better than little by little by a smidge just by how it interplays with the rest of the track. That being said the real stars of this album are the bass and percussion. The bass on magpie is amazing and the percussion on both songs is amazing.

I also appreciate the guitar across the board on in rainbows, guitar isn’t a shit instrument by default, its like dogs, it’s the owners fault that they often suck so hard
