ok but all art is mimicry and the only art that isn't is silly space scribbles that does not count
tool were dedicated mimics from the moment black sabbath was sold in california and maynard janet went to his first m c escher exhibition you cannot fight the magnetism of righteous source texts
shellac were inspired by bic black and are therefore better
also the fact that you've been listening to any music from the last 10 years at all is hilarious but i will forgive you for it this one time

I was yesterday years old when I realised that Lateralus' main riff rips off Rush's Test for Echo.

I disagree with the assertions made by most rappers on social issues. It's a constant refrain of "why are the cops harassing us," "white folks don't get it" before they turn around and talk about all the illegal stuff they're doing, or handwave criminality like Lil Baby does on The Bigger Picture "we're just products of our environment!"
NWA have some abhorrent stuff btw - check out "She Swallowed It" where MC Ren talks about gang raping a 14 year old. Ice Cube is also a massive antisemite. I like some of Tupac's music, and I recognize the skill of guys like Nas/Immortal Technique, although that style of rap isn't my cup of tea. They are leaps and bounds ahead of J. Cole though.

I wish it was just a theory. Johnny unblocked this account all by himself without consulting higher staff and now "I'm" under his protection. Think about it, for some reason, blatant trolling is now totally a-ok on sputnikmusic.com, and Baseline gets away with everything, while hundreds upon hundreds of unknowing new users get banned for dubious reasons such as: "likes coheed & cambria", "we at the staff don't like your opinion, you must be far-right" and so on... But really, the creepiest thing about this new Baseline account is that its sole purpose is to validate Johnny's reviews, which lately, if we're being honest, have been more lethargic than ever. I bet you 5$ if you ask the real BaselineOOO on her rym account (~I0000days) she'd be like "what the bollocks man haha, I'm married and even have kids now, why would I even rejoin that sad place sputnik?".
HHHMMMMMMMMMMMMM
