Third is ridiculous. probably one of the ballsiest albums of its kind

also any band named after a Burroughs book is automatically cool

the later half of Out-Bloody Rageous is some of the best stuff that prog/jazz fusion has to offer tbh

actually got that, Fourth, Fifth, Six and Bundles on vinyl all in just a week. Actually haven't heard their stuff past Fourth so hearing them all have been interesting to say the least.

Third, Fourth, Fifth, Six?

Why not just name it Sixth? lol

in America, Columbia was fucking with the titles, naming Fourth and Fifth "Four" and "5" respectively, so for Six (which is a live/studio double album, like Ummagumma), they just gave up and went with the U.S. standard. Doesn't help that Seventh had a different cover here in the U.S.

Also, Bundles was never released in America until CDs were a thing I believe.

Record labels are a bitch.

edit - Bundles has never seen an American release. Only way to get it is by second-hand or importing the CD reissues.

This is definitely my favourite Floyd record. Its incredible cohesion, brilliant commentary and genuinely great lyrics set it apart from all others, to me.

Also, I feel this is both Waters and Gilmour's greatest accomplishment. How amazing can be his playing on Dark Side and WYWH, Gilmour's musicianship here is just incredibly inventive and interesting. And Waters' composition and writing are both more mature than on previous albums, and less pompous than on the following ones. Wright and Mason both sound more refined too

Whatever, I do feel like this is the peak of the band's career, although oddly enough, the album never gets as much attention as the previous two from the mainstream media and audience
