With proper remixing, St. Anger could be slightly redeemed. However, I think that could lessen the (whatever) impact it intended to have had originally. I'm pretty sure the boys from 'Tallica were well aware of their shitty output, but they wanted to make a statement about how "madly in anger" they were at the time...

Any thoughts on the versions of Justice floating around with added/boosted bass? It's undoubtedly been discussed already but I'm not eager to wade through 291 screens to find out.

It sucks. All 290 previous pages agree.

Yeah it's totally unnecessary, the whole bass problem is some kind of mass hysteria.

I think the lack of bass is made up for by the fact that the guitar tone and drum sound are pretty much perfect for this album

--Any thoughts on the versions of Justice floating around with added/boosted bass? --

To different extents they're a nice novelty (some are clearly better than others). A few years ago I went down the YouTube rabbit-hole checking out all the Bass versions. I ripped the audio from my favorite one, and I've still got it in my iTunes library. I never throw it on, but it's a nice surprise if one of the songs comes up on shuffle.

Edit: I also like the State of Mercury YouTube channel that does the 'what if...some random Metallica song came from Justice' thing.

Get out of my way. I just trying to play the shortest straw. I am sick of hearing Peter Gabriel and cock rock. I drew it.

that little clean interlude in To Live is to Die that sounds like it's coming out of an 80's portable radio will always darken my eyes and furrow my brow

The Frayed Eyes of Sanity. Also I didn't even post or pull the shortest straw why is everything my fault.

Tbf I like a good interlude at a bar and I can mix these up. Even Greenday had an interlude or few.
