i guess i was mostly responding to the 'does anyone fuck with fitter happier' comment

as for the effectiveness of its place within ok computer, it is definitely not a very subtle manner of communicating its message and i wouldn't say it was 100% neccesary for okc. However, i do feel it fits okc's paranoia and society-tiredness i assoicate with it very well

gawd, radiohead'd be so much better if they'd been told "good vibes only, don't embarrass me in the club" before ok computer had hit. no troublesome lyrics about car suicide, just 100% aspirational positive culture contribution

I dunno if I'm saying they should have a positive attitude, per se...

"that's a bit on the nose" - guy at computer in a CIA jacket. naive protest is valid imho

I don't ever listen to it any more in full. Ever. I like it, but it's not an album I want to listen to on a regular basis. Don't know whether that's a good sign... 😬

To be honest I have this with most Radiohead nowadays. Not been in the mood for them for a few years now. Individual tracks, yes; but full albums, hardly ever.

I'm really drawn to that delicate guitar line. I need more of that

Arguably the only one that’s underrated in the grand scheme. Maybe Amnesiac too but this certainly much more so.

coming back to hail to the thief i don't think that one gets quite enough respect, but for sure the fact this gets overlooked so often when it's top 3 radiohead is tragic

bit of a conundrum that it’s so underrated yet every comment I’ve ever seen about it talks about how underrated it is

The active Sput userbase (especially people posting in this thread) is not representative of the music community/people at large. I’d say that most active users here rate this one pretty well, though even still the average score for this is stuck at a 3.5, I presume mostly because of people who rated it low close to release, and/or because of less active users/more casual fans who pop in, rate this based on the 3 times they listened to it in 2011, then leave.
