I think they both have a lot of energy, they're just exerted in different ways. On OoS there's a lot of energy pent up underneath the surface, and it's let out in huge doses. On Absolution, it's kind of just all out there all the time, although it sacrifices some creativity in adhering to the apocalypse theme.
