incantation are probably my pick for most consistent reliable dm, i also generally prefer their production to what CC's sounded like the past 20 years

gorguts are a good pick but they take longer to put out records, like damn you better be consistent when youve got like 6 records in 30 years

@park youd probably 2.5 violence unimagined, its enjoyable but the production is typical boomer dm and it lacks the bite/creativity of the 90s stuff imo but there are just many people who think the band have reached a new peak post-KILL so who knows

the first 3 records are my favorites overall but vile and gallery of suicide are up there, i might dig those both more than the bleeding

i have a very soft spot for evisceration plague. the title track is one of their best songs and that album kind of sums up everything death metal was during the 2000’s before the retro wave took over.

Vile finally took it's place as my favorite from them at this point I believe. Still prefer the Barnes era overall though. This and The Bleeding are the best ones with him fronting imo. The Vile tracks recorded with him are pretty dope also

I'm probably closer to a 3.5 on this, but the lyrics and song titles really give it that extra umph you know?
