The previous albums have much less of the genre hopping and are mostly progressive death metal except Timewave Zero which is a space ambient album and Luminescent Bridge is half and half. Starspawn is probably still my favorite

Interesting about the Floyd influence (although there's more prog influences than Floyd) is that it mixes 70s Floydisms with late 80s post-Waters Floydisms. Like, here's a touch of Wish You Were Here, and now a dash of Momentary Lapse, all layered together.
