Yeah Hippotraktor rules I've ripped through Meridian a shitload of times at this point and I rarely meet people who have heard them, that album is sick as hell and I'm hoping they get some new shit soon.



They occupy a pretty separate space as the Ocean for me tho.

Yeah it doesn't do anything super crazy or new but it's still a breath of fresh air among a lot of samey prog or djent-leaning metal. The blend of atmosphere and riffing works very well and the harsh vocals are hard as fuck.

also the bozo who built it and operates it uses a ps2 controller to drive it
