this album has too much soggy noodle bs and overinvests in uninteresting songwriting, Alphaville leaves it for dead

In the Pleasure as a song + Tower of Glory getting a Bloody Panda feature are by far the coolest things about this one

first Bloody Panda alb in 14 yrs = press X to doubt
revisiting Tower now, and that feature does go hard. rest is boring (bar the final 90 secs of chaos, which the rest of this could v much use more of)

so the bassist worked on another new NY avant-garde metal-jazz-fusion band called Sarmat and any IT fans should def check it out. the EP from April is a 17 minute jam session to kick the project off and the debut LP drops this week.

Every time I come back to this I like it more. What a challenging listen, really makes you try to pick it apart because it's makes sense....but doesn't make sense at the same time

cheers, it's an upbeat romper stomper, more progressive-metal jazz-fusion like Mahavishnu Orchestra than IT. description says it's an improvisation on a main theme from the LP, love that.

Wow, I saw the guys live again yesterday, what a blast once more. The free flowing vibe to the music contrasted by the blasting intennsity and topped of with Kenny's insane drumming, damn!

on another note, I just saw the Video for Merkurius Gilded and it reminded me how freaking godly that Kenny G feature is...

Diving in now, and one thing I already like is how the jazzy stuff is more incorporated, both in songwriting and mix. Felt odd hearing those two parts so separated in earlier releases. Production in general is really good here
