Depends on your definition. I imagine any worthwhile pop isn’t actually THAT popular. Name your faves.
I’ve mostly seen stuff described as pop that I’ve never heard of, or mainstream twaddle that’s not worth a dime.

Your average radio-throwaway-catchy-little-number absolutely does seem dead, for better or for worse... probably worse as it’s been replaced by abject nonsense.

^ [2] and [2] to both of the above, my man. Couldn't have myself expressed either sentiment better.
As for:
Is she not art-pop? I swear she‘s held up as a shining light in the ‘pop is better now’ arguments I see flying around.
Nah, not really. Lana is... Lana. That's the biggest part of her charm and her best selling point.

Lol, what (else) have I done?

worthwhile pop people actually listen to = Rina, Charli, ig maybe Carly still
I think LDR is most definitely a pop artist, and she deserves credit for making the most of 'pop' being genre malleable to pin down her own niche in the big game. Terrible music ofc, but she knows her shit when it comes to the biz

aw Johnny, come on, man... "Terrible music", really? We both know that, unless the world unexpectedly ends at some near point in time, that songs like Blue Jeans, Video Games and Born to Die will still be evergreens even 50 years from now.
You know those tv ads that occasionally air that are tailored to tug at your feels by employing old timey classics like "Can't Help Falling in Love" and "What a Wonderful World", right? Well, they will probably switch up their soundtrack arsenal to stuff like "Blue Jeans" and "Young & Beautiful" in a decade's time.
Give the Grant clan some credit...

Charli’s last album was miles better than NFR. I’ll give you that one. Carly Rae has a couple of bangers.
Who’s ‘Rina’ - I’m sure it’s obvious, just can’t think right now.

"aw Johnny, come on, man... "Terrible music", really?"
oh yeah, you could totally make a good album out of the highlights from BTD and UV! Lana's got her keepers for cert, but then there's the rest lol. think UV sums it up best: 3.5 excellent tracks (one of which is a cover) mixed with a load of garbage
