Yeah when i find new bands i don't like checking albums too close to each other cause i might end up "used" to a certain sound and that might put me off early stuff which normally is very different from recent stuff. For most bands at least.

For example that has happened to me with ETID. I resist listening to HD, Gutter and Dirty cause the sound is different. Gonna have to force myself i guess cause i'm sure there's some gold hidden in there.

I started with Hot Damn! yonks ago and still ended up preferring From Parts Unknown. They are absolutely somewhat of an outlier band in that regard though, certainly not the norm.
