m/ bro, i do see you on facebook from time to time which is cool.
my bro Brandon (Maniac) loves this album and I want to like it more than I do, but either way the production is incredible, it just doesn't stick with me.

I'm a synthwave fanboy so The Weeknd doing the genre is basically an almost gauranteed 5 from me

Look it's probably the best thing he's done since Trilogy but it's also still probably five or six meandering, lethargic tracks with poorly written lyrics long to be a classic.

The first four or so tracks are stellar and it ends on a high note but there's just so much "I'm so rich but I'm still depressed" ennui in the middle it makes for a painful listen. Like, "give her Philip K Dick"? "Phetamines got my stummy feelin sickly"? Who is letting these lyrics be written???

Album slaps agreed. And the lyrics are fine, not expecting Shakespearean prose here, but they're definitely "coming of age" and refreshing for such a mainstream artist
This is probably his most "cohesive" album
