Band hasn't been good in a long while and this is no improvement

“Congratulations” really rocks hard, but I as a non metal fan still like it.

AHHHH YOU GUYS
They just announced a 19-date North America tour. And for the first time ever, it's weighted towards Canada. TAKE THAT AMERICANS LMAO LMAO!

Seriously, 19 dates and 14 are Canadian. That's unheard of. Next May I can finally catch these guys for the first time ever live.

Anyone who's seen them: how are their live performances? Do they tend to play material from the stuff their touring, or a variety of old/new?

Lots of Bleed American. Rarely ever Static Prevails. An equal mix of the rest of the albums but never much from Invented or Damage.

Very cool! Bleed American is expected. Got to get people excited with the ones they remember from the radio in 2001 haha. I think I'm OK with little Invented/Damage, even Integrity Blues. Mostly I want Bleed American and Clarity. Mostly Clarity. Just play Clarity, actually.

You'll get Blister and Lucky Denver Mint probably. When I saw them a couple of weeks ago they only did 15 songs yet still they played Bleed American, The Middle, Sweetness, Hear You Me, Get It Faster and A Praise Chorus. Sure and Certain might be the only IB song you get.

@Minty it was over a year back but they were playing Pass the Baby when I saw them and it was incredible.

Yeah they played that a lot when touring IB which was cool. I saw it too and it was great live. They haven't played it recently so I suspect they may drop it for some new songs but hard to know because they haven't done many full, 24+ song set lists so far with this new album cycle so maybe they'll keep it around.

I don't have airpods, just the earpods that came free with my iPhone a few years ago. Just seems to bring out the bass and treble a lot better. Less muddy in the mid frequencies.

As a 30 year old man, I haven't heard a song that makes me feel like an awkward 18 year old at house parties again trying to muster the confidence to speak to the opposite sex like "One Mil" does.

Album is otherwise solid and it's brevity works to its benefit imo

@chaywa lol yeah I'd say that's the most "juvenile" sounding song here. I felt the same way as a 30+ year old dude. They completely turn the tortilla for the second half, though.

As a 37 year old man, I think it’s solid. Not sure what that says about me lol.
