Dude I relistened to Ghost today, and it's a pretty chill album

Yeah I consider myself pretty much a Devy fan at this point, yet for all his diverse weirdness, Ghost is my favorite record out of them all and the one I've jammed the most. I can just keep losing myself in it.

Well, at least one person does, lol.

im kinda surprised the "consensus" is that sprite is the weakest track, when I think it's one of the strongest. It's certainly more focused and less needlessly ADD than a lot of the stuff here (I say this as a big DT fan), and it's catchy af, at least to me

It's not ADD per se, but I just found it generally a little pointless.

Unpopular Opinion: Borderlands is the weakest track

It's certainly much too long.

Midsection is the best part of the song, the other parts of it are just the worst parts of Z2 and Epicloud

I don't know if it's an unpopular opinion, but that's one of my fave tracks on the album.

Whoever the poor sod that’s going to play Singularity live with Devy I give him a huge credit because the liner notes say all three drummers (who have distinct styles) played on that song.

Probs gonna be Anup Sastry, but I don't imagine Devy's gonna be performing very much of this live.

he's touring solo acoustic rn and live videos are pretty fun. "Love?" has a crazy rendition. might go see that, but I can't imagine seeing Empath live with a full band

i was saying the other tracks can be pretty ADD and it isn't, but regardless, a song on the album is "pointless" but you gave it a 5?

I gave this album a 5 because of the scope of it's ambition. An album doesn't have to be perfect in order to be a classic.

Something that devin has yet to understand with his music is that the message you actually send is often very different from the message you are intending to send

In what way does that matter though? The message people take out of it will always differ from person to person anyway. Also if you watch the documentary its clear that he created this as much (maybe even more) for himself as for the listener. It's the very reason he stopped the DTP.

@ExhaleTheLight i didnt care for Boderlands at first listens but now i like it. I would say Spirits Will Collide is the weakest link imo, it didn't click on me.
