The halo effect songs sound like colony/clayman b sides so its not hard to do better. But I've always thought in flames could still kill it if they actually decided to play melodeath again and drop the pop schtick. They still clearly have the chops and they've got a great drummer

Honestly this is the kind of song I assumed would never come from the band again after Jesper left, mainly because Bjorn's influences are more classic heavy metal rather than death (you can hear it going from ASOP to SOAPF). They've had fast songs post-Jesper but this has that classic GBG edge. I gotta give props.
