because this album sonally sounds like shit. like I said, it fumbles with multiple genres, bringing them together for an incoherent mess. every song that isn't a garbage interlude structurally sounds the same. one could make the argument that Sunbather and RtJ is worse in the case of songs sounding the samr, but at least they both have a fucking atmosphere and try not to be something they're not.
