Frozen One off Mothership is the easiest example of Jon and Tilian playing off one another perfectly but again it's down to taste. The bridge to that song is sugar in music form.

Maybe his belts have just gotten more airy and falsetto-esque over the years, I specifically remember Empire Theory having a lot stronger performances than really anything post-Instant Gratification.

If you want to interpret annoyance as rage, sure. I sincerely do not see what everyone else here seems to see in this band, and I've definitely tried...and that's what led me to finally find some DGD that I actually liked beyond "eh, light 3-3.5"

@Drifter: It's a specific part of their music that annoys me, and the circlejerk of fanboyism when someone doesn't "get" DGD doesn't help their case. If you like them, that's fine. Good on you. But the mob mentality with this band reminds me of all the immature twats that get pissed if you don't like Black Veil Brides, but they're prog snobs so it's even more annoying.
