Just to be clear we all love it as a song but not as an opener. Unless you mean that one dude who's clearly nuts.

That's a fair point I was indeed referring to that guy who thinks the song gave him aids

look
I love raining in Kyoto
and there there
and came out swinging
and cardinals
but in no world is my last semester not their best opener

So just listened to Greatest Generation, fell in love
How does this compare?

Not nearly as good but that’s my opinion. Songs like There, There and I Just Want To Sell Out My Funeral make that album better
|
| |
some spotty songwriting and really shoddy production, but far better than their last record

There There is their best opener and it's probably my #1 TWY song to be honest.
This argument is over.

The Greatest Generation is my favorite TWY album by a mile, this album is probably the least pop-punk out of all their albums (which is a good thing or bad thing depending on what you like) but still really good. Definitely worth at least a couple of listens.

Yes agree There There is brilliant and Greatest Generation is their best
But Came Out Swinging is a brilliant opener too
It's like choosing between your children

"but in no world is my last semester not their best opener"
i'm sorry what? Brothers/Cardinals are spellbinding together. If the rest of NCTH had been as good as Cardinals it would be a 6/5. And Came Out Swinging just has so much emotion and energy right from the first line.
