Album Rating: 4.5
yeah 2019 has had a lot of 4/5's but not a lot of stuff I'm AOTY-excited about. Panorama is probably my top pick too

Revisiting this. Might bump to a 4.5 cause of how amazing this is.

Yeah this is definitely their best LP. I think if you combined their first two EPs (His Old Branches and Cartographer) it would top this, but otherwise this is their masterpiece so far.

I actually prefer Varuna just a tiiiiiny bit tho I love how much more aggressive this one is

Varuna's production isn't quite on this level, and a lot of the songwriting isn't melodic enough to be memorable IMO. That said, it has some absolute killer tracks like the t/t, Greek Fire, Tuez Le Tous..., so I get it. TROW has never made a poor record.

Amterasu tho, god it's one of my favorite songs EVER

actually never heard this band, didn't know these guys put out anything since Antarctica In Color

This might be in my all-time top ten faves.
|
| |
Definitely a respectable choice
|

an alternative rock/indie rock band with the guys from Tigers on Trains sounds very appealing to me, but post hardcore definitely does not
|
| |
This isn't post-hardcore
