If anything good came out of this album, it's that I now know sputnik has (at the very least) 700 users. Remarkable

What I really wanted was a Brand New album that would make me feel desperate for the band to keep on going... That would make me scream 'no, please don't stop making music, writing lyrics and singing, we so damn need you in those dark times'. What I got was an okay record that made me realize why Jesse wanted to call it quits for quite some time and agree with him.

So I guess I can at least be thankful for Science Fiction pushing me toward acceptance in my personal Brand New stages of grief.

If this is the best they could do with all the time and desire to end on a high note, I'm really glad there won't be another record under BN monicker.

@DoofusWainwright is that because you've been disappointed by everything else even more or is this just an ironic statment without deeper meaning

Because I can relate to the first outlook. Every record I've been looking forward to turned up to be nothing to write home about.

Guess it's time to check out new releases by bands I've never listened to before.

I wish I was that edgy user who had only rated one album higher than a 1.5 this year but sadly no.

This album wouldn't make my top 200 of the year so far. True story.

On the downside, Jesse is old and not really the hearthrob he used to be. I mean he's still a good looking man, but he used to be better than most boybands

You get sleepy on SSRIs? Weird, I only get sleepy on antispychotics

"You get sleepy on SSRIs? Weird, I only get sleepy on antispychotics"
Technically not right after ingestion but if I don't take them at the same time or forget to take them and when I up dosage.

But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good metaphor.

Can't Get It Out has really grown on me to the point of maybe creeping up on '137' as my 4th fave

The verses of Waste are just sublime. Been working the song out on my guitar. Feels like D# tuning methinks.

Why do you know what your SSRIs taste like? Don't you just swallow them?
