Tbh I doubt it, it’s more likely to be something akin to a synth ballad

Can't wait to hear Mike's EP.
So glad the songs are coming out today.

It's so hard for me to imagine anyone singing in Chester's place, but if the guys decide to continue as Linkin Park, they will have to get someone new.
TBH I wouldn't mind if they dropped LP and created a new project. At the same time, I can see it being a difficult and depressing decision that might not be worth it.
I guess time will tell. Whatever happens, I will support the band.

i think they're pretty good. very raw, the only thing i didn't like was the beginning of over again but it settled.
he's still a really good producer.

'At least he is not doing a OML 2.0'
Yeah there's some bits and pieces of One More Light there with 'Over Again', but it's definitely a more refined incarnation of the same method.

Agree on his flow. Sure, it's nothing compared to his prime, but Mike's flow is massively stepped up from One More Light, and even compared to Living Things/Hunting Party era.

I agree with Until It Breaks, and even Skin To Bone being pretty great from a Shinoda point of view, but Lost In The Echo, not only in regards to his flow, but as a song, is seriously underwhelming.
Anything he did on A Thousand Suns is Shinoda's best ever performance in the last 10 years, hands down. His flow on When They Come For Me and Wretches and Kings is brilliant, his overall vocal performance is massively stepped up from Minutes To Midnight and live harmonies, and lyrically easily some of his best work of all time.
I love Keys To The Kingdom, but unfortunately, Wastelands is not a very great song at all. I love The Hunting Party, but that song is easily the worst of the bunch - it's seriously generic.

much like the rest of the band, ATS is mikes best album
the ep is growing on me the more i spin it but it’s still probably a 3-3.5. i need to check fort minor soon to see how it stacks up in comparison to his other work

Yeh A Thousand Suns had some great rapping, I don't really know if I dig the LP, I'm not that much into the modern hip hop vibe he's using. Will listen to it some more, I like how it's pretty unconventional and it's music that can grow on you though.

Really? That's really interesting to hear actually - any online material you can remember seeing and throw my way? I'd be interested to see what was said.

Lost in the echo is top tier on living things yea, but mike isnt one of the better parts of it tbh. Chester’s chorus absolutely makes the song for me

Lost in the Echo is catchy, but I agree that the rapping really isn't spectacular on that track at all

That metalsucks page is a good find, I thought I'd seen most responses by artists but seems I missed a fair few - my thanks.
