I have no issues with this being rated higher than Kind of Boring

kind of blue is good but like nowhere near best jazz album imo

this, meanwhile, is very near best jazz album

Kind of Blue is really take it or leave it for me as well. I still have a hell of a time with this one though as well. Its a tough listen for my tiny brain. I usually reach for Mingus Ah Um if I'm in the mood for Mingus' shenanigans tbh.

Interesting. One of the few criticisms I see of this is its perfectionism. Don't recall many describing it as too chaotic.

this rocks but "jazz sucks but Black Saint rocks" is too much of an Internetsmen's take for me to countenance

I mean I get it cuz of the different strains of musical traditions this combines but u gotta get jazzy
