they were co-headlining with modest mouse, so only partial credit. let's see them do it on their own.

brand new epitomizes the term "sputnik band," dude. also they suck shit live.

I really like this, the only weak track for me is Your Wild Years.

Opening track is gold and sets the tone for the album.

only saw bn once and it was a long time ago (pre-tdagarim), but jesse only sang about every other word and looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. maybe i caught them on a bad night, but it was a disaster.

wait, how is your wild years weak?

It's a top 3 or maybe even top 2 track.

Then again as was said above it seems like every song is someone's fave and someone else's least fave

I don't like the lyrics on that track and keep skipping it.

Maybe I need to be more patient with that.

After the Party I can't get out of my head.

@ReadyForTheHouse I don't know how old you are, but I'm closer to being 30 than 20 now and I think the lyrics are my favorite part of the song, it's a great love song with great down to earth lyrics and explores both the nostalgia of the past and family relationships along with some great love lyrics. "A little irish in your blood, a little polish in your name, a little Boston in your attitude, just the way you were raised." may be my favorite lines from the whole record, and I think it's very endearing lines about a girl, someone who's a combination of the American melting pot from blue collar roots. Makes me think of my gf.

Hell, I just reread the lyrics to the whole song again and I think even more highly of it now.

MM's setlist was better the first time. they played Cowboy Dan, Gravity Rides Everything, The World at Large and Ocean Breathes Salty

then the second time around half their setlist was Strangers to Ourselves
