As someone who KNOWS what the album sounds like, then sure, it's fine. You're free to disagree with my assessment and I certainly didn't say the review was bad, just that its length was akin to a sound-off (I may have exaggerated slightly here). Shorter reviews can and do work. Opinions etc.

The point of a review is not to try to tell you how it sounds. I have not heard this album and thought the review was great.

I prefer it when there's some guidance in that regard. What I'm not so interested in, is the history lesson nonsense often seen in certain corners of the internet. A bit of context is nice, yet too much can become tiresome. At the end of the day the purpose of a review can be whatever the writer wants it to be. The reader is also free to take whatever they want from it.

regardless of all this, I hope this doesn't cause any unwanted distractions. The important thing to remember is this album is uniquely brilliant and everyone should listen to it.
