They make great music but the guys in the band seem pretty fucked up. They seem to completely deny morality and from the interviews I've read, believe humans are all just useless meat. Lol. They're pretty much amoral completely. Which is pretty scary in a way. Also the singer here has a side project where he actually explores the mindset of a pedophile and plays one on the record he made with the project (the one cover for one of the albums in the project has an underage looking Asian girl sprawled out) pretty disturbing shit. One of the albums is called ''Playground'' lol.

''First and foremost, we want to avoid at all costs this very human illusion of being important and gladly leave these fifteen minutes of fame, as Warhol brilliantly put it, to whoever wants them. In regard to what we are trying to understand and dare to praise despite the immense restrictions of human understanding, we are nothing. This being said, we are of course better than most humans, our humility lies on a metaphysical level.'' - Deathspell Omega

''Nationalists think that their country or people in it are somewhat special, but I tend to think most people are just meat. Useless flesh, often stupid and unimportant.'' - Deathspell Omega

Yeah, they're a very nihilistic bunch for sure. A little freak but they have some interesting points.

I'm pretty sure Hasjarl does all the interviews. Not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure because he's the mastermind of the band and Aspa joined later on. Though he still contributes obviously. If Hasjarl isn't doing interviews, the guys must be pretty similar in idealism. Also the one guy (probably Hasjarl) is more long winded. Aspa gave the second quote about nationalism. Seems more to the point. The other guy comes off like a twisted, very VERY well read, artiste type. Also Mikko made that weird pedophile album as mentioned earlier. I'm rambling on but these guys have an interesting view of life for sure. They mentioned they started working with Aspa due to similar personalities and the fact that he liked atrocious things and accepted them naturally. The album ''Si monumentum..'' has some fucked up imagery in the artwork. A guy hanging, a guy starving, etc. They say they celebrate decay and death. Usually I'd write this off as edgy bullshit but the music actually is scary at times and I think they believe this stuff.

Fas has their best production and their best compositions. It was their last album that wasn't brickwalled to oblivion.
The sound on this is very sibilant and trebly but the musique goes ahrd m/m/
