Retrospectively I have grown to really respect The Act. It was unique and had them experimenting to some cool heights and low lows, but ultimately is a cool journey... unfortunately the success they found with Chemical lead to Color Decay just being Chemical remixes over and over and now Flowers being even more soulless

Hard to believe this is largely the same band that just released Flowers

both bands sound great live still but yeah, can't be bothered to spin the new stuff.. It all just sounds like a cheap gimmick to pull from the BMTH crowd. Architects seemingly turned it around, so maybe UO and TDWP will hopefully follow suit

Underoaths new stuff is abysmal and I can no longer take their live show seriously as a result. Architects have not 'turned it around'. Their newest doesn't even match the quality of Holy Hell and that is a far cry away from their peak stuff.

I guess we can still hope for Z3 or something from them eventually but I think the main albums will be pretty tepid from here on.
