Winter will be a sweet time to check those. Also Untouched has such a gorgeous atmosphere. I feel like people would have liked Shelter a bit more if it had more of that and the production was better.

"Oiseaux" is far and away my favorite tracks from this, but the whole thing's a pretty big improvement over their albums, to me.
But I really just find most blackgaze boring as fuck. This is one of maybe three albums I enjoy in that style. The other two being Deafheaven's first album and Dying Away in the Deep Fall by Dopamine.

Lantlôs - .neon is the thing that comes closest to Alcest's biggest moments when it comes to quality blackgaze imho

I made a whopping three comments about this record. And I actually never explicitly stated my opinions towards Alcest's other records--only that this is better than the rest of them. For the record, I don't dislike the first two albums. They're just kinda average. The last one was such a snooze-fest, though.
