"Mostly the way I feel right now is: fuck metal, fuck chamber music, fuck nerd music, fuck my scene, etc. maybe that’ll give you an idea"

We all know this isn't gonna make him rich. Artists don't personally owe their fans anything (unless they wan't that persons money). He is probably full of it, but if it keeps being good I'll happily listen.

Toby driver is quite right - "“Most of the coolest music now pays no attention to chord structure. It pays no attention to notes. Nobody really seems to care about that. They just care about cool sounds. It’s really timbre that’s exciting to young musicians and people who are just discovering themselves. It’s timbre that’s exciting. They don’t care about using different ideas of tonality and scales. They don’t care about that. Frankly, I don’t seem to care that much about that as much as I used to.”"

Hes right about most things other then sending goods that people have paid for 12 months back.

Musically he can do no wrong for me,

Kind of fits in its time with all the retro synth worship going on. Ofc them being them it's brought to 11 in proggy glory.

I love the style on this and Coffins. Curious if the next one will be more 80s avant/electronic prog or something totally different.

Piggy Black Cross kind of dwarfs the beats on this, but Rings of Earth and Brittle Urchin hit me right in the soul.
