Um the loud clanging cowbell part is excellent and an album highlight, the “it ain’t me babe” is pretty weak though

This is one of those special albums that you feel like on an almost spiritual way. You don’t hear it, you just feel it…

I like Desire, a lot, even, but if there was a single “unnecessary” addition to this album, it would be that one. Everything accomplished in that song is already done elsewhere and better. That said, it does a very good job of consolidating the general sound and ideas of this album in a streamlined and palatable way, strengthening its identity. Also, I like the hoedown bridge yuh.

I totally get your point Cyg, though at this point I couldn’t picture this album without it.

‘It’s tightly constrained but everything that’s played within it is completely free and completely loose so what you do is you just talk in the absolute basics and fundamentals of what music should be which is just in its attitude and not it’s technique.’

LAUGHING STOCK is the goat but honestly they are both so good that I can't even be mad at or disagree with people who prefer SPIRIT OF EDEN.
