Woundwort is easily the weak link here, a few of the ideas are repeated elsewhere and it contains the only moments where the pacing falters and you become aware of the slowness / length of this behemoth. It’s not a complete dud, but it could do with a trim. There’s also a slightly perturbing transition about half way through, which doesn’t happen anywhere else. Fortunately having Warren of Snares, Republic of Heaven & The Burial in the S/A+ tier makes this a minor gripe. Fu Inle is only a step behind them and the remaining tracks are essentially an intro / interlude.
In a world where I stick to my current overly stingy selection of 5s I could see me dropping this down, but that’s the opposite of what I want, so it stays. ‘4.7/4.8 rounded up’.

I feel Archivist have a great deal of good isolated songs. Havent gotten around to light bearer. Anopheli (everythings pay what you want on bandcamp i think?) Has more members in common with Morrow i think
