I like 2nd Law honestly. It's gimmicky, nonsensical and it's not to be taken seriously. I thought it was a fun album for the most part and same opinion with this.

If you take the final 3 tracks out of this, you actually have a really good 34 minute album.
Following their last 2 mishaps, English trio Muse have promoted their 7th LP 'Drones' as a "back to basics" record. Co-produced with “Mutt” Lange, universe-sized riffs, solos and, well, everything fill this batshit crazy concept album. The bombast of Queen is once more a clear influence, while some of the lyrics are as subtle as a sledgehammer. With front-man Matt Bellamy impressively letting loose on guitar & some killer key changes, 'Drones' is actually enjoyable for the most part... However, a few too many recycled ideas & ridiculous filler (including the final 3) tracks unfortunately exist. Recommended Tracks: The Handler, Defector, Reapers & Psycho.
