Same results for me, PL I’ve listened to the most because I started with them in ‘93 whereas Anathema more like 2000. Watched Anathema live more than PL though.

I would say by Host and Believe in Nothing PL did go very far from their roots - nowhere near as successful at the changes in sound as Anathema though.

idk man, i got really frustrated with it. even at its best moments it just feels hollow and at worst it's fucking dreadful. 'ghost in the machine', 'still lake' and 'take me with you' are all non starters - fucking awful.

disagree - love it from front to back. the weakest song is 'you're not alone' but hey it's short so i can live with it.

To me the shift to electronics is just so jarring and random. You're Not Alone is indeed bad. The songs after are good, but the electronics detract rather than enhancing them.
