Do you still find Here Is Where a masterful track?

second half is much better than the first half. after young blood is when things start getting really wonderful. i was so excited with the praise this album was getting and now people are starting to get down on it, its making me sad.

Well obviously not everyone is going to like it. The average is still crazy high. I wonder if this band knows how much praise their album is getting on here. They'd be proud.

problem with this album i think is its one that is most magical when you don't know where it's gonna go and you get lost in it. which happens for the first few listens cause some tracks meander and don't have straight-forward structures. but once you map out how each track moves in your head it becomes less transcendent. all of a sudden i miss everyone by explosions in the sky was always one of those great albums for me where i get completely lost in it and couldn't really recall how the album trajects. i can moreso now, but there was a time where my mind would drift off in a daze during it's natural to be afraid, and i'd lose track of where i was in the album, and that was amazing. anyone else find that to be an important part of music? especially in post-rock, it's something i look for.

Knowing where the track is going is no problem for me. I'll use Here Is Where yet again as an example. I know that the strings are coming in the last couple minutes, but I'm so happy when they begin because it's my favorite part of the song.

People aren't getting down on the album. Obviously when more people see the average they will check it out. Like Mongi

said, not everyone is going to love it. I just find it to be merely good.

And even with the objectivity starting to listen to the album, the average is still crazy high
