Have heard of these guys a few times but this is the first time I’ve actually sputnik’d and google’d them. And damn. Seems I’ve been missing out. Have only listened to a few songs so far but Trains, Lazarus, Blackest Eyes and Gravity’s Eyelids are great. But songs like Lips of Ashes and The Sound of Muzak seem pretty dull and boring to me (note, this is on FIRST LISTEN—Songs typically need two or three listens to start growing on me).

Gonna do a discog run though and, as always, going chronologically from debut to last album.

I like (but don’t love) Pink Floyd and Tool are one of my favorite bands. Does it sound like I’d love these guys?

Haha I’ll be giving it more listens. Gonna spin In Absentia until I burn out on it, then go to the debut and do a full run from there.

Larkin, burn out on In Absentia, then go Fear, Deadwing, Stupid Dream, then go wherever you want

Thanks man, will do! Can’t believe these guys aren’t more popular. I can see why they aren’t “mainstream” mainstream, but some of these songs are stunning,
. I’ve heard their name a few times but that’s about it. Very popular on Sputnik though, the number of user ratings on the most of albums are high as fuck.

Time Flies always felt a bit cheesy but a hard [2] for this album being underrated. Even inspite of the dumb interludes, I love these songs so much. Like, just Blind House alone...
