i get ironic enjoyment out of it haha. there is a good album in there somewhere. st anger when played live in modern day sounds great. a lot of it is production, being way too long and james sounding horrible.

St Anger has the same problems as so much of their discography and that’s them just not knowing when to end a fucking song… but yes also the dogshit production job. And also the thing can basically be played as a fucking three piece, Kirk has never been so noticeably absent from any of their other shit.
I’ve never watched Some Kind of Monster but it would not surprise me if he literally had zero input on that album.
