Blimey, have people ever been so wrong? 2nd/3rd best Radiohead. Strange.

There's a couple good cuts here. Only misstep of their career.

2+2=5 is a great track, as is Wolf.

Wolf is one of their best closers imo. Apart from that, I can't find that much worthwhile on this. It's all okay but hardly anything really stands out. That said, I find it way more interesting than their first two stylistically/atmospherically.

Scatterbrain is a really good, underrated Radiohead song

The atmosphere of 'The Bends' is perfect, in fact its atmosphere is what elevates it to the realms of a classic.

The atmosphere on this is dire, in fact its atmosphere is what drags this down into the gurgling abyss.

I think this is their most "fun" listen next to The Bends. For that, I think it deserves praise.

I honestly can't tell if this is an underrated collection of amazing songs that makes it one of their most consistent works

or

a pile of fucking shit. I seriously love so much on here. A few months ago I would have only liked about 9 tracks, now it's more like 11. But ... ugh ... the feeling I get when listening to some of this songs is just pure trash. Even the songs i like. I love Punchup. But when I try to restructure the album to make it more cohesive and concise, and I get to Punchup, I go "why the fuck is this a song?" It's great, but it's such a nothing song and it's attitude is so annoying and pompous compared to their other albums.

Even a track like 2+2=5. I mean look, that track is fantastic, but when you listen to that song it just feels so meaningless compared to their other songs. I feel like the tracks on here where made to be "that cool song" or "that banger" instead of something natural. Which results in some of their best singular experiences, but a fucking messy album and a forgettable work even when taken piece by piece.

It's just an incredibly inconsistent album but still has plenty of good tunes to be a worthwhile listen. Pretty easy to see why most people rank it so low in their discog though
