yeah you don't stop after Cosmo but chronological is a good way to go. I have no idea how I'd rank FlyLo because all his shit (not counting 1983 obv) is in that near-perfect range but also all of its flawed and I know he has a damn classic in him

like Cosmogramma is crazy creative and fuckin slaps but its as subtle as a brick and leaves you little breathing room. This one blends together in a less desirable way but is more outright emotional and delicate. You're Dead has prolly my favourite flow and overall aesthetic but doesn't really break any new ground. hopefully he does what I'm thinking and just throws the entire rulebook out with the new one

Cosmogramma is the best but all four non-1983 releases are Masterpieces

Never Catch Me is a great microcosm of that album in that it has one of my favourite Kendrick verses but I enjoy the song 10x more when it's just FlyLo fucking up the boards

the four part build up to that song is genuinely possibly my favourite run on any of his albums tho

I don't know, I had a near-death experience listening to it while high af

Which total dolt said that

I became the near-death experience in death on LSD on that album
|

Never Catch Me is definitely both the best thing kendrick has ever touched as well as a top-tier flylo track but lets not forget that Coronus is possibly the best flylo song ever made
|
| |
on the flip side tho the opening 15 seconds of Cold Dead is probably my least favourite 15 seconds flylo has ever done

Oh I fuckin love that part of “cold dead” *shrugs*
|
| |
It always takes me out of the experiance for a minute, makes it feel like the album doesnt really start until never catch me

He seems to like that effect—the “intro” to cosmogramma being four tracks in (after all the abrasive stuff)
But yah I see what you’re saying!

This one is so subdued except for nightcaller and me yesterday corded so it’s a little tougher seeing where the structural emphasis lies. I guess
