i just hate that when a metal band tries something radically different 20 years into their career

they're usually ripped but a band that manages to make something new out of all the elements people

loved about them in the first place they are ripped as well

I'm not sure that post metal has the support it needs to survive as a legitimate genre. The material at the top of the pile is fucking amazing (the obvious 3 bands) but beyond that there is not enough innovation happening.

it's like neurosis lite. but i still love it. i'm still a post-metal junkie through and through though so take that as you may.

evilford there's more than enough there if you're willing to look for it. same thing with post-rock, the problem is the good shit is hiding under a melange of boring shit.

i like that it's infiltrated death metal to a certain extent too (Ulcerate, Tombs, etc)

just think about how many awful death metal albums there were this year compared to the good ones. it's just that there's so many more death metal bands that it's more tolerable but the percentages are the same.

Neurosis is garbage. Detuned drunkin Hollerin crap with quiet "senisitive" portions here and there.



Basically this band is so Legendary and surrounded by mystique and fanfags, they could fucking FART and it would ART!
