the best contortionist for me are the debut allmighty exofuckinplanet and clairvoyant...but I might agree on the 2 middleones for the full progmetal lovers...but (again for me) this is a masterclass on the old "fight" between good songwirting vs proggy music. In the end for me it all comes up to songwrinting/ albumwriting.

This is so scatterbrained, it goes everywhere and it goes nowhere at the same time

Hmm, this hasn't gotten any better after 6 years and the song titles are as pretentious as ever lol

"Geocentric Confusion"
The last couple minutes of that track are in my books as THE top contortionist moment. I hear it and everything around me just stops.

Honestly, it may not be their best release, but the latter half of "Geocentric Confusion" is beautiful.

The production is the only thing that holds me back from loving this.

Honestly their weakest album. It has its moments, but it feels disjointed

This is a mess and the production is kind of ass but yea the second half of Geocentric Confusion is magnificent. First two songs great too. Language is leaps and bounds above this but both are pretty similar, this has the same kind of lush, natural sounding but also futuristic atmospheres as Language.
