To be fair the album name and cover art are pretty nice, deceivingly so.

I surprisingly like this. Thanks Deviant.

May need to give this a second listen. Because first time listening for me isn't too appealing to me. Kind of reminds me of Balam Acab. Is it appropriate for me to label this as downtempo/witch house/dubstep?

That was really poor grammar :p

So
what is witch house exactly

I take it witch house is another "bullshit blog genre" to you? Witch House features a fusion of techniques rooted in chopped and screwed hip hop sluggish tempo with skipping, stop-timed beats coupled with elements from genres such as noise, drone, and shoegaze, also with elements of occult-like themes (not necessarily present). Whether or not it is an actual subgenre, it's just the name of what it sounds like. Also the high pitched voices in the background of the first few tracks. But listening to it for a second time is actually a lot more rewarding, it's pretty good right now.

I think this is slightly overrated, but it's pretty good nevertheless

This is really damn good, the only think holding it back are the vocals. If it had regular female vox it would be twice as awesome.
|
| |
Just for me personally, I know that's not how things work, and I know basically nothing about the genre.
