DSS I speak Spanish, does that count? heh

I know FC Porto & Braga.
Hahaha. I like Sporting more, but those are big teams, especcially the first. How did you know them?
Xtoxim, spanish is good with me, it's a similar language to portuguese. However, I don't think my english is that bad. ;)

Nah your grammar is pretty good, especially for a second language. The Spanish thing was a joke, as I can't speak Portugese at all so I picked the thing closest to it.

So disappointing. I swear to God.

God does not appreciate your swearing... or low rating for this album.

This is a really solid album, very consistent. I think people only rate it low because it's not as punk-rawk as they used to be.

Bing bing. Although you forgot to add "& it's not as good as some of their past releases".

^That's not really true. The Sufferer was less punk than their older releases like ATR and it's still
one of their most highly rated albums, inside and outside of Sputnik. (@Joe)

"I think people only rate it low because it's not as punk-rawk as they used to be."
Nah, i'm all for the band's recent stuff (I quite enjoyed ATR) but this album just didn't interest me as much.

Yeah, this album doesn't have much that really stands out, but still good.

I actually wonder (because I can't recall at the time) if some fans were initially low on 'Sufferer' because it was less punky. I can imagine that MAY have been the case to some extent. I wonder how a song like 'Roadside' was initially received.

I love roadside! I was actually a bit sad that this record didn't have a slower number on it.

@xtoxin I think since that album (sufferer) they've slowly deviated away from punk a little bit more. Sufferer is my favorite though. Their newer stuff just feels a bit more churned out and less volatile.

Can't disagree with that too much at all Joe.

@Joe, I agree, but even at Sufferer I think it got less punk. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I know just from the fact that I really liked it at the time that it must not have had that much punk influence.

If God doesn't appreciate swearing, then why do they exist at all?
Back on topic, I felt most of the songs started off pretty strong and energetic but they didn't seem
dynamic enough and grew stale by the end of the song. A lot of them seemed to drag on. Of course
there's the obligatory: "Tim's voice has no emotion anymore" comment, which isn't true, but not too
far off.
I don't really care if it's more poppy or punk-ish. DaveyBoy, you should know by now that I like
poppy genres a lot (just not, you know, most regular Pop music). Rise Against have always been
poppy.
I liked Appeal To Reason a good amount (except for like 3 songs). "From Heads Unworthy" was
awesome. Though I felt as though "Hero Of War" was a bit too ambitious and blatant. A bit boring,
but I still liked it.

Yep JSF, I do know your taste does not exclude "the pop". I guess, that's why I was a bit surprised at your 2.5 here. Oh well, you have backed it up well enough.

I can't find many songs on this album that continually listen to - which is odd enough, especially in Rise Against's case. I can give ATL's Dirty Work a 2.0 and still listen to 3-4 songs just fine (still a pretty bad album).
I dunno. I guess I'm just being hard on them.
