Yeh try Slowdive they did some good stuff. Absolutely nothing like this though, they are far more melodic. Quite a few who like Slowdive don't like MBV.

yes. this is generally accepted to be the greatest shoegaze album of all time sooo if you have any interest in that genre (which you should) then you should check this out. if you're a shoegaze noob though you should checkout slowdive or ride first, they're more accessible/melodic.

this is the best of its kind. whether that be 'post rock' or 'shoegaze' or whatever the hell people are calling it. also anyone that likes this should check out bowery electric. they're quite good and kinda trip-hoppy but similar. i dunno what their best is but i've heard a couple albums and both were rather excellent
