It may just be one of those albums that is never topped. I don't think that at all invalidates what they've done since--I still love Aathma a lot--but this is just a once-in-a-lifetime thing as far as I'm concerned. Top 5 all time and it's never dropped from there.

Just listened to the new album and genuinely believe I'll give it a 2.5. What a timeline. They pretty much completely abandoned their melodeath roots and are a 100% prog band now, which I guess is fine since band shouldn't stagnate but it really doesn't fit them. Way too overblown and pretentious on first impression.

It's early. Give it time, it'll be a 3.7 or something with the same complaints as usual. I'd rather just enjoy it and tune that inevitable stuff out.
I'm like the only person that (vocally) thought the singles were pretty fire.
