There's like four or five "catchy phrases" in each song that he enunciates on, and you can't really make out anything else.

yeah exactly, it kinda becomes frustrating after a while. The Red, White and Blues still kicks ass though

I think it's kind of cool, and serves to make the storyline a little less overt. I see where you're coming from though.
