Man, Chester really spits on “Lying from you”. Song slaps and defines what he was saying for a long time. Some really catchy lyricism that hits. He was a true talent.

rip chester for sure. was lucky enough to see them live with him a few years before he passed. he was so energetic and gave it 110% effort, incredible performer. i'll always remember him going extra hard with the screams on faint, he held for so long and sounded like he was going to blow his voice out lol.

Man, I remember seeing LP back in 2011 and Chester's really leaned into his heavier screams on Lying From You. What a fucking talent.

His vocal talent is really something different. The distortion he constantly pulled off is insane

its always a toss up between this and hybrid. Hybrid was perfect for me hating others and then this came at the right time when I was hating myself. lol what a great band

I promise im really trying not to shit on these guys when I say this, I still enjoy this record and Hybrid Theory a whole lot, but Linkin Park might be the biggest example of a vocalist absolutely fucking carrying a band in mainstream rock/metal.
The new record is ass and from what I’ve seen the live shows just don’t look that entertaining.
Chester was truly a generational talent, and as snobby as this sounds I wish he had been in a better band. He even carried the fucking mid as hell STP material he made with them too.

I mean, the rest of these guys are clearly talented, don’t get me wrong, but imo Chester is probably a top 25 vocalist oat for me and the band just could not keep up with him, and that’s even more apparent after this record. He’s literally the only good thing about the band for like half of their discography.

Personally, I think Shinoda warrants a somewhat decent amount of credibility - he isn't the best rapper but I still think he adds a unique and interesting element to their sound.

Yeah, Chester brought quality even when not at his best. He carried the fucking OML after all.
BUT, my problem with From Zero isn't that the band ain't doing shit, it's that half of the songs are old ones made worse. Take them out of the album and that leaves us with 5 decent pop-rock tracks. They should send the nu metal nostalgia baiting down the drain and make more stuff in the vein of Stained, because fuck the album but that track is phenomenal.

honestly the softest take ever, most fans feel this way. From Zero gets its' clout from nostalgia of the band itself, and Mike, but we all know that's not gonna last.

i mean yea, this entire project is ass without chester

I feel like even Mike feels that way and idk what it is with all this seemingly forced shit is with Emily and hyping her up like she's been some longtime friend of the band or something and they love all the "haters."
