Same, and because of Radiohead's references to them.

I honestly don't see how someone could listen to this and not 5 it. It's literally perfect. [/hyperbole]

George Orwell is probably my favourite author and the parallels to that book make me like this even more. Brilliantly executed concept.

I read Animal Farm for my English Literature class in grade 8 and was bored to death. I will get to read 1984 soon, hope it's better lol.

yeah both books were required reading for me during High School, Animal Farm in Grade 9 and 1984 in Grade 12. It made most people hate Orwell, but for me I was so glad I was finally required to read something that was actually good. I think it helps to have the historical context of the books laid out for you too.

Nineteen Eighty-Four was genius, but Brave New World is probably more of an accurate prediction:

Yeah, Aldous Huxley nailed it with Brave New World and The Doors of Perception

I liked Animal Farm, it was quite a comical metaphor for England back when it was written. Am yet to read 1984

The only thing more ironic than using a bunch of Orwellian imagery to point out the evils of capitalism is Pink Floyd pointing out the evils of capitalism.
