"Maybe it's the generic disapproval all bands get when they don't follow up their magnum opus with another one."

they did release two pretty decent albums after rpm though

i know it might seem like a pretentious thing to say but honestly the reason why this gets so much hate because it really is a fucking sellout

Would've been at least a liiiiiiitle better if Tim didn't blow out his voice during sufferer

So Tim actually blew out his voice? I was always under the impression he just toned them down for the sake of getting a larger grip on commercial ability since you still have songs on this and the next two albums with screams.

i think he toned it down here for the sake of, he couldnt record the sufferer type vocals at the time because he did it for four albums straight, and hes never fully recovered from it yet. should probably do more research into it again, because i heard he blew out his voice from someone here (dont remember which user tho)

Very divisive album I see. Guess it's mainly 'cause of the change in guitar-work.

i remember when i was younger i thought Elective Amnesia was the deepest thing I ever heard and I felt so smart figuring out the meaning behind it. good times.

My favorite tracks on here might be the anime soundtrack sounding filler like The Dirt Whispered and Audience of One. I also really love Whereabouts Unknown.

Haha I remember making a shitty Flash animation for Elective Amnesia back in middle school.

I'll see if I can dig it up later today. Prepare to be underwhelmed though.
