Nowadays when someone tries to talk politics, and I mean actual politics not fuck bush, it sucks. Because then you have all these Green Day fans jumpin in with what they "think". They believe that since they have American Idiot and that since they've listened to the album a billion times, they believe that they are smart enough to give their "ideas". And then if you say something that is coincedentally a little but of the American Idiot ideology, then some other moron jumps at you and accuses you of getting all your facts from Green Day. It sucks.

I still can't figure out why some people dislike this.
I dunno about most people, but I personally hate this for being so unoriginal, being the band's musical sell out, being overplayed, overpopular, not good enough to me to be that overplayed and overpopular, and I personally hate pop punk and punk in general for the most part, due to annoying guitar riffs, usually annoying vocals, poor lyrics, and hyped up sound. But that's just me.

Personally, I don't give a **** about the politics involved in American Idiot, I enjoy the tunes and that's about it. All my friends judge me and calls me false, but I don't think you should be forced to choose between your own personal opinions and some music you find good. I probably don't agree with anything Green Day and most part of the punk rock and punk-pop circle or whatever you wanna call it thinks, I seperate music from politics and believes you shouldn't have to choose between the twos.
